About Me

Dylan Lackey is a US-based instructor and researcher, as well as co-Director of the Morning Star Research Center for the Afterlife of Slavery, a non-profit dedicated to preserving and presenting materials that engage with global legacies of anti-Blackness. Dylan received their PhD from Virginia Commonwealth University's transdisciplinary Media, Art, and Text program, culminating in a dissertation entitled "Language, Ruin: Finnegans Wake and the Aporias of Black Lalangue." Addressing the space between Lacanian psychoanalysis, Black insurgent philosophy, and contemporary queer and trans art theory, Dylan's published work can be found in Radical Philosophy, TOPIA, Culture and Dialogue, Critical Humanities, InVisible Culture, Chiasma, and elsewhere.
